With over 14 years of experience in the construction industry, Ned Pattinson has built a career defined by adaptability, determination, and a hands-on approach. His journey began at the University of Canberra, where he pursued a Bachelor of Building Construction Management. He recognised the need for practical experience alongside academic learning and secured a cadetship with a prominent Australian builder. This opportunity allowed him to apply classroom knowledge directly to real-world projects, jumpstarting his career while still completing his degree. Graduating in 2017 after balancing work and study, Ned’s career trajectory was already well ahead of his peers.

 In 2014, he joined Geocon as a Project Engineer. His first project, Newtown, showcased his aptitude for adaptability, problem-solving, and swift decision-making. These traits and mentorship from influential leaders such as Damon Smith shaped his professional ethos. Ned’s career is driven by his love for challenges and the tangible satisfaction of seeing projects come to life. He thrives on the collaborative nature of construction, building strong relationships within project teams, and delivering results that exceed expectations.

His work ethic is characterised by his pride in accountability and determination to complete tasks. Ned’s approach is rooted in questioning conventional methods and fostering innovation. He values self-motivated team members and shares his passion for pushing boundaries.

Over time, he has shifted from focusing solely on individual projects to understanding the broader business impact, ensuring decisions are made with a long-term perspective. Highlights include being named MBA Project Manager of the Year in 2020, delivering Metropol during COVID-19, and implementing bathroom pods to enhance efficiency and quality.
