CUTTING-EDGE WOVA LIFESTYLE PRECINCT TO AWAKEN WODEN VALLEY
The WOVA precinct will become a contemporary gateway to Woden town centre.

On the cusp of a major urban transformation, Woden Valley will soon rival Kingston and Manuka as Canberra’s hottest lifestyle suburb.

With over $2 billion of planned infrastructure investment in Woden and its surrounds over the next few years, Geocon’s vibrant new WOVA urban precinct is set to redefine contemporary community living just 10 minutes from the CBD.

Geocon Head of Project Marketing Moonmoon Sahu says the four-tower, mixed-use residential and commercial community is located in one of the most enviable positions in all of Woden Valley.

“It acts as a kind of gateway for those travelling from Canberra CBD to Woden Town Centre, meaning residents will have easy access to the best of their local area, all within a moment’s reach of everything the city has to offer,” Moonmoon said.

“WOVA’s accessible location has also played a major role in informing the design of the site, with pedestrian linkages and thoroughfares connecting an expansive ground floor precinct that opens the development up to the public and invites people to come on in.”

To be built in two stages, WOVA will offer a selection of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and shared residential amenities.

Geocon head of sales Adam Morgan emphasises that the numbers speak for themselves when it comes to Canberra’s investment strength.

“Today, it boasts one of the most dynamic property markets anywhere in Australia,” he said.

“Canberra’s transformation into one of Australia’s most exciting destinations has only just begun and WOVA is perfectly poised to prosper.”

With its proximity to Woden Valley’s business district and plans for the light rail expansion, Canberra Hospital expansion and CIT Campus in Woden, Adam says WOVA will be ideal for those working close by or looking for a shorter commute to and from work.

The shared fitness centre will include a gym and yoga space.

Moonmoon adds, when designing WOVA, Geocon and the architect team at Fender Katsalidis set out to create a unique “people first” precinct where people could live, work and play.

“It was really important for us to strike the right balance between urban and suburban environments, as well as public and private space so that both residents and the wider community would feel welcome on the site,” Moonmoon explained.

“These considerations led to the design of WOVA’s integrated ground-floor precinct which seamlessly connects all four buildings and the surrounding streetscape through beautifully landscaped avenues and an array of retail, dining and commercial space.

“The inclusion of two grassy urban greens provides the perfect setting to catch up with friends, bask in the sun or enjoy a picnic.”

Due for completion in 2024, WOVA will feature four distinctly designed buildings connected by a ground floor plaza.

Amenities will include a resort-style lap pool.

Featuring 271 apartments across various floor plans of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom configurations and 701 square meters of retail space, Building 2 is the first to be released and is also the tallest of the four buildings, at 24 levels.

The building also offers five floors of residential amenities, including a gymnasium and yoga space, outdoor decks, resort-style lap pool and sauna.

Residents can make the most of the chef’s kitchen, residents lounge, complete with cocktail bar and dining room for parties, as well as a private cinema, roof top-garden and flexible co-working spaces.

Residents can book a private movie night in the WOVA cinema.

Moonmoon says the sweeping amenity podium is designed to be a true lifestyle destination.

“The decision to include almost all of the site’s private amenities in one site-defining tower is destined to create not only a rich, fulfilling lifestyle experience, but also the opportunity to encounter and interact with fellow residents – a rare accomplishment in multi-residential design,” she said.

The amenities will serve residents as an extension of their homes by offering a space to bring friends and family over for a party in the dining room or a movie night in the residents’ cinema.

“As we’ve noticed in our Republic precinct, these common spaces are also where resident friendships are built,” Moonmoon added.

“We are thrilled with the response so far on WOVA, and our team is feeling confident about its success with Canberrans as well as investors who have shown a keen interest from outside Canberra,” Adam said.

The brand new display is now open at 12 Furzer Street, Woden and the project is officially on the market. Register your interest in WOVA or contact Adam Morgan, Head of Sales 0487 888 666.
