A hive of activity has marked the beginning of Midnight’s construction phase, which is now well under way. Since NRMA House was demolished and cleared in late 2017, excavators have been removing more than 30,000 cubic metres of earth and safety and quality officer Regan Hudson, construction worker Adam Ugrinov (both pictured) and the rest of the team have been installing concrete piles in the giant hole, which is now down to the first basement level.

This means that between now and mid-March, our construction team will install 220 anchors to the piles and 2420 sqm of shotcrete between them.

A contemporary tapestry of public and private spaces within easy reach of the light rail and Canberra’s leading food and entertainment options, Midnight will deliver 236 apartments, a 185-room Abode Hotel and 2600 sqm of commercial space to the corner of Northbourne Avenue and Elouera Street.
