GEOCON’s striking Midnight project is on the fast track to completion with today’s advice from the ACT Government that the development application has been approved.

A mixed-use development adding an extra 200 public carparks to the Braddon precinct, Midnight will include 2,500m2 of commercial space, a 180-room hotel, 250 apartments, car spaces for residents, a public courtyard, and intriguing landscaping, lapped with still and falling water.

“We’ve worked together with the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate to finalise a great outcome for the grand entrance to Canberra along Northbourne Avenue,” said Geocon General Manager Development, Peter Micalos.

“The calibre of development along Northbourne Avenue needs to be exceptional to reflect the importance of this location, and Midnight will be the benchmark by which other developments are judged.

“Our team including world-renowned Fender Katsalidis Architects and Oculus Urban Design will deliver a landmark inner-city project adjacent to the Eloura Street Canberra Metro stop.

“We’ve already sold 97% of Midnight, which is testimony to the demand for inner-city apartment living in Canberra,” Mr Micalos said.

Construction of the $200 million development will start before the end of 2017 and take around two years to complete. 1500 jobs will be created during construction.
