Canberra Metro’s latest ‘bird’s-eye’ video takes us soaring across the northern suburbs to the Gungahlin township on Hibberson Street – where stage one of the light rail route commences – and then swoops in for close-ups of the tram stops before travelling along Flemington Road, the Federal Highway and along the Northbourne Avenue corridor to Civic.

It is here on the doorstep of the Elouera Street stop that Midnight is currently being built and where Canberra architect, Walter Burley Griffin envisioned a rail thoroughfare 115 years ago. Metropol will be just 9 minutes’ walk away.

If you haven’t already, take a peek at the first light rail vehicle which arrived just before Christmas. It’s the first of the 14 that will be delivered in the coming months.
