Canberra Metro’s latest ‘bird’s-eye’ video takes us soaring across the northern suburbs to the Gungahlin township on Hibberson Street – where stage one of the light rail route commences – and then swoops in for close ups of the tram stops before travelling along Flemington Road, the Federal Highway and Northbourne Avenue to Civic.

It is along the Northbourne Avenue corridor that you will get an insight to the wide avenue that was envisioned as a rail thoroughfare by Canberra’s architect, Walter Burley Griffin, 115 years ago.

If you haven’t already, take a peek at the first light rail vehicle which arrived just before Christmas. It’s the first of the 14 that will be delivered in the coming months.
