ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to ongoing growth & an ever-expanding pipeline of work, GEOCON is seeking to appoint an experienced Contracts Administrator to assist in all aspects of managing and administering projects and contracts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Reviewing contract conditions (including payment terms, billing dates, variation procedures, billing methods, subcontractor declarations) against Geocon Tender Requirements and pre contract checklist to confirm that the budget reflects agreed position of billingEnsuring a Contract Review Checklist has been completed where a builder’s contract is required and that the contract has been reviewed and signed off

Raising subcontract certificates for designated contract labour and other trade providers and providing to Project/Site Manager and Despatch including budgeted targets so that project can return planned margins

Confirming adequate credit limits are available to cover project duration and communicating exposure to Operations Manager and Group Financial Controller.

Reviewing risk to the business from the contract with the Operations Manager and Project Managers including liquidated damages, retention monies, acceleration, indemnity, payment on account, consequential loss, insurances to ensure charging meets customers understanding of the contract

Mapping billing against progress payments to subcontractor (on spreadsheet) and providing for accruals and deferrals on a monthly basis

Adhering to standard Geocon filing protocols for major contracts

Measuring and communicating project leakage by tracking start/finish dates of projects/contracts to ensure management of variance risks, ensuring timely contract close off and that outstanding issues including any delays on site, tool register, disputes, variations etc. are addressed

Assisting Operations Manager and Finance Manager in reviewing Geocon reports (Project Profitability, Billing, Labour and Savings on Trades and Profit & Loss)

 

Skills Required

To be successful in this role, you will come with at least two years of experience in a similar position as the following key attributes:
Experience working in a warehousing/logistics environment

Experience in negotiating with customers and demonstrated ability to achieve beneficial outcomes for varying stakeholders

Contracts administration experience

Experience in using Microsoft Office
